Some updates
Been about two weeks since I last blogged. :) It's already the third week of school and I haven't been doing much, except digesting some of my notes. haha..Time to start on my assignments! The modules this time round are pretty interesting. Finally get to learn more about learning disabilities (LD) and behavioural problems. I think it is essential for every teacher to at least get a general understanding of the various types of LD and behavioural problems. According to my lecturer, NIE is currently training the first batch of Special Education Officers who will be deployed to schools. At least MOE recognizes the need, which is in fact increasing. Hope to explore more in this area too!

yep, agree that teachers need a general understanding.. if u need materials for assgnts or anything, feel free to ask ya? oh, i'm thinking of looking into working with special kids too... might.
Yes! So important that teachers know about learning difficulties as they might often be the first to notice any problems and refer on for specialist help!! :)
