Practicum Stress

Received a sms from a NIECF friend, requesting that I pray for a fellow trainee who's contemplating suicide due to stress from Practicum. She has been on anti-depressant pills and keeps crying. Seems that she's not the only one, someone did commit suicide a few weeks ago, and she died. It may not be due to Practicum though. Coincidentally, both are Christians. Feel sad for these people...Reminds me once again that we are to look forward to the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I'm getting a bit stressed up too..don't worry, I'm not contemplating suicide..:) The thought of having 3 observations early next week is a bit daunting, and I'm anxious too. The sermon in church last week was about talking to God. Indeed, we are to rejoice in the Lord always and not to be anxious about anything! Compared to everything else, we have eternity in Jesus Christ, in the Kingdom of God. (Note the imperative "Do not"). We fall into the trap of not praying when we are busy, but let's remind ourselves that the more busy or the more worried we are, we should pray. Christians are to pray about everything and worry about nothing! :) May this entry encourage my dear friends.

Philippians 4:4-7 - "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. "

Comments:
Think nothing in this world can ever prevent us from not worrying or from not being anxious at all...
BUT as Paul exorts us in Philippians, by putting eternity in our line of sight, by looking at Jesus Christ & our prize in heaven, EVERYTHING on earth starts to dim in comparison :)

Will keep both you and your fellow trainee in prayer... take care

Thanks Yifen for sharing as always. =) Jiayou! Looking forward to our "kopi/tea errand days" =P

hey yifen :) nat here. yeah when i was teaching the kids got me really depressed too.. like how to teach them. but hang in there k. God has opened the doors and He will carry you through. indeed He knows us and He wont give us more than we can bear. may He use you and shine His love through you to the kids :) God bless, and miss you! love, nat

Abba Father wants to tell his children...(Matt 6:25-34) do not let your hearts be troubled. Continue to focus onto Him babe! When Jesus says it is finished.. its has! At the garden of Eden, man was cursed, "by the sweat of brow, you will eat your food"
However at the garden before Jesus was captured, the night before, He sweated blood. Therefore the 1st area God had redemned man from is stress!
The Lord is pleased when u let go.. casting all your cares..
Tell God tat i am going to watch u conquered every problem. Lord this is your problem. Even if we experience a little uprising or bad thought..Lord i cannot handle it.. u take over..
